Are you entering phone numbers into an excel file and need to always put the proper formatting in? Like having the area code in parenthesis? Or maybe you need to have the country code, area code and phone separated with the appropriate dashes? This is not difficult to do if you just have to enter one or two phone number, but if this is something you do on a recurring basis, wouldn’t it be easier to have Excel recognize the formatting and “put” in the right dots/dashes or whatever extra text to indicate the correct phone number format? This can be done with just a little configuration of the cell formatting. All you have to do is just type in the numbers and let Excel do the rest. See the video to find out how it’s done.
