Have you given people you Excel file with the neat and dandy Pivot Table all ready for analysis and they still find it hard to navigate around? or do you find it hard to work with your own Pivots?  Why don’t you try slicer ? ( I think Microsoft wanted to play off the idiom “it’s better than sliced bread!”).  A slicer is just another tool you can used to more easily filter/choose/select options for your Pivot Table.  It’s a nice little feature that makes it more visually appealing to look at data.  Check out the video to give it a try.
